There are 3 steps to install the service, most users only need to do the first step.
By default the service blocks pornography, virus, spyware, and illegal sites. If you wish to block additional categories, you will need to do step 2, and in some scenarios step 3.
Step 1: Choose the scenario that best fits you.
If you have a computer directly attached to the internet,
choose the “Desktop” option in the menu box on the left.
If you have more than one computer or device, sharing a common internet connection,
choose the “Router” option in the menu box on the left.
The ideal scenario is to install the service at the Router. (Modem, Wireless …)
This will allow you to setup all your devices using that connection at the same time.
If this is not an option then you need to install the service at the Device level (the Computer, PDA …)
Setting up at the Device level will have the same effect as setup at the router level.
Step 2: Create an account login for the User Control Panel (optional)
To block additional categories, you will need to create an account and then log into the User Control Panel.
Step 3: Setup DDNS (optional, we will gladly help you with this if you need it)
If your IP address is not static or persistent, ie. Dial up, dial up DSL, wireless internet (Clearwire, Verizon Wireless, ATT wireless, Comcast Wireless) you will need to setup a DDNS client, to update your location automatically, for the user control panel.
